Scott Ranch Summary 2007
March 23rd – 25th
We left the troop building under clear skies but the clouds rolled in later that night. About a 3-inch rain hit camp from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. and everyone got wet. Even Mr. Spencer’s new airbed cot got a little wet. The creek that is normally dry was about waist-high after the rain. We had a great turnout of men and boys on this camp. Patrol cooking went fairly well although we need to work on that skill some more. On Saturday morning, we cleared out more wooded area for future camping sites. Saturday afternoon and evening we had and airsoft tournament and then we rappelled a 90-foot cliff just on the other side of the creek from camp. It was a small miracle that we got the vehicles back down the muddy road and out of camp. The weather kind of cooperated on this camp so we are really looking forward to MK Brown in April. Huge thanks to former 80 Scout Madison Scott for loaning us his ranch for the weekend.
