****PARENTS’ CORNER****
The August Camp out is for everyone. Troop 80 wants as many families as members to come down on Saturday at 1:00 and pitch a tent. If you do not have a tent, the troop can help you out. No excuses. There is a lot to do for everyone including rifle and shotgun shooting, fishing, archery, swimming, and just getting back to nature before the busy school season is well underway. Meals and a patch are included in the cost and Saturday Night is a wonderful BBQ dinner. The cost is $15 a person. Sign up and pay on Tuesday nights at the troop building.
+++++PARENTS’ TIP+++++
Make copies of your son’s physical before giving it to the troop. You’ll be glad you did!
Our deepest sympathies to Eric Wolfram and his family in the loss of his nephew, Scotty Martin. Scotty, the son of Eric’s sister Nora Martin, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2002 at the young age of 13 years. He lived near Atlanta, GA.
August 23-25. Camp Don. Base Camp. Central Kitchen. Swimming. Canoeing. Archery. Rifle range. BBQ dinner. Great Campfire. Omelets for breakfast Sunday. Parents invited to come out Saturday night and Sunday.
^^WILDERNESS COUNTDOWN^^
Remember the countdown for next year’s wilderness starts now. You must attend 5 camps, no excuses, to go to wilderness. This is an easy camp to go to in August. No conflicts, close to home, no hiking. Don’t miss a great time and don’t cheat yourself out of wilderness.
