Water Polo Championship. The Comanche C1 and Apache B1 patrols will duel for the Water Polo Championship at the May swim night (May 21). Parents are invited to attend at the Maverick Club to watch and cheer the teams on. Trophy presented to the winner.
Basketball Tournament. The troop will be starting soon a double elimination basketball tournament, to be played on Tuesday nights. The games will be 3 on 3, play to 5, win by 1, done in 10 minutes. If tied at 10 minutes, free throws to decide the winner. Patrol scoring method same as with water polo.

Recruiting. Each new scout should try to recruit his friends into the Troop. Earn points for your patrol and go scouting with your friends. Each recruiter gets a patch for his patch collection.
Eighty Gear. The pink shirts are returning!! Back from the 80's, the parent support group will be selling the pink t-shirts. Order yours now from Annette Walker. Also, we will take orders for red sweat shirts, hooded or regular. Of course, all other Troop 80 gear is always on sale: hats, shirts, sweatshirts, cups. Just check with us on Tuesday nights.
Custom t-shirts. If you have a design you would like to use on a Troop 80 t-shirt, let Jim Thompson know. He can make custom t-shirts, for a reasonable fee. All rights to the logos will go to Troop 80 so the design can be sold to others who may want the shirt.

June 9-15. Cost is $110. Register now!! Must have a current physical (less than 3 years old). If you can not stay the whole week, there is a day camp later in the summer. Contact the council office if your interested in working as staff this year.

July 13-20. Cost is not yet set, but will be about $75.00. Pioneering Merit Badge program. Advancement. Softball tournament. Base camp. Camp at 10,000 feet in a mountain meadow outside Questa, N.M. (Near Red River). Central Kitchen. Sleep on cots. Steak dinner, Mexican food feast, Italian food dinner, Chinese food dinner. French toast and omelet breakfasts. Making a totem pole with Mr. Johnson. Must attend 50% of camps and meetings since last year and must advance one rank or 5 merit badges. Sign up now. Elected officers must attend to keep their jobs. Custom patch included in price. Collectible t-shirt available for extra charge.

ALUMNI NEWS. Kim Burton, Committee Chairman from 1986-1996, passed away May 9, 2002. He was a trustee on Eighty Scouts and on the trust. His son, Jim. Was an Eagle Scout in the Troop in the 80's. He was survived by his wife Nancy, son Jim, and daughter Ann. The Condolences of the Troop go out to the Burton Family.

John Standish and Jim Gwinn will be offering the cycling merit badge this spring. If interested, please contact one of these men. This is an Eagle Required Merit Badge.
----------VENTURE CLIMBING TRIP------Jack Tunnel and Shaun Finley, and a couple of old guys, went to Albuquerque to climb real rock. Had a great time at Tiejeras and House Rock. Everyone made it back safely and the dinner in Albuquerque was hard duty, but was survived by all.

In a shocking upset, the Wichita, E2, has won the 4th annual skills night. The Sioux, D1, 2nd, and Iroquois, A1, 3rd .
