We had a total of 29 attend this year’s mini camporee at Sneed Ranch this year. There were 4 groups that hiked in. The miles ranged from 1 mile to 3 miles. Of course the men stuck the scout master on the furthest hike! We had 4 boys and one father from pack 80’s Webelos den; they did a great job all weekend. Not to mention winning the string burning event this year! There were 4 patrols represented along with the Senior Greenbar participating just
for fun.
Here is how the patrols scored:
- 1st place with 1036.5 points was the Warriors
- 2nd place with 1028 points was the Lycans
- 3rd place with 963 points was the Mohawks
- 4th place with 891 points was the Phoenix
All of the boys earned hiking miles as well as 4 degree points – as it got down to 28 degrees on Saturday night. Believe it or not, even Mr. Walker hiked in this year one (1) whole mile! The boys did a fine job of cooking and cleaning up after themselves, so don’t believe them moms when they say they don’t know how.
