Jonathan Gwinn and Philip Kolodziej sweated it out in Virginia at the 2005 National Jamboree.  They met a lot of other scouts and came back with memories that will last a life time.  Jonathan filed the following report:

Jamboree review

The 2005 National Scout Jamboree is definitely the biggest scouting event in the country. There were a total of 37,063 scouts, 6,000 staff making a 43, 063 person tent city. My troop, Troop 1806 was composed of 36 boys and 10 men from all over Texas. The actual Jamboree action was focused everywhere. You could do anything from patch trading to merit badges to rappelling. Even Scuba dive. I even woke up at 5:00 am to do the 5k run. Meeting people was fun. Even giving some of Troop 87 torture was fun too. I meet people from the Bronx to scouts from El Salvador (by the way, they beat us terribly in soccer 5-1). Thanks for reading the article and I hope to go again in 2010.
